It's hard to imagine such a haven of coolness so close to the coast! Baracci, a beginner canyon accessible to all, offers everything a newcomer seeking thrills could dream of. In the red granite gorges polished by the torrent, obstacles follow one another: water slides, jumps, zip-line, rappel descents in gorges distinguished by their colors.
Baracci Canyon is the must-visit canyoning route in the Propriano and Sartène region.
Located just 20 minutes from Propriano, it is very easily accessible from Ajaccio or Bonifacio.
The granite massif of Baracci Gorges offers, through its impressive red color and surrounding vegetation, a setting with singular landscapes.
This descent, fun and original, is accessible to all skill levels.
Suited for families and children from 7 years old (accompanied, able to swim and independent in water), Baracci remains a true canyoning course with beautiful jumps of 2 to 6 m (all avoidable if needed), natural water slides and lovely rappel descents as well as a zip-line ending in water, of course.
And what about the last pool, a genuine natural swimming pool to finish the Baracci course beautifully (jump or rappel).
The descent lasts on average 2 hours.
The cherry on top, there's only a very short approach hike (5 minutes) to be right in the action and launch into the first jumps, making access even easier.
It should be noted that at the end of the descent, a short 20-minute hike will be necessary to return to your vehicles.
During the descent, no jump is mandatory; they will be avoided or descended by rappel if needed.
The highest rappel on the course is about 10 m, all in complete safety thanks to our state-certified monitors.
Baracci is among Corsican beginner and discovery canyons.
It is one of the most complete in the Valinco region, in southwest Corsica
We ask participants to be in good physical shape, to be able to swim and to have no health problems. We remind you that canyoning is a whitewater sport that takes place in a specific natural environmentand that accident risk remains present despite instructor supervision.
